that unless you’re running 30 miles a week after a break of exercise (no matter how long), you’re most likely gaining weight because of increased muscle mass, or the increase in calories to compensate for the extra mileage.
Now considering the fact that I don’t own a scale, but can feel how much tighter all my jeans are getting in the legs, I can hope it’s just muscle as I’m at about 20 miles a week. Not this week because of my brief trip to New Mexico. It set me back pretty far as my entire trip always seems to revolve around food (not that I’m complaining!)
So next week is another 20 then time to increase. Hopefully this weekend i’ll have the chance to get a trail run in. Not sure if I can convince any of my family members to go with me though. And I’m a little scared to bring Goose because the last time I did a trail run on the White Tanks I ran into 3 rattlesnakes. 3 on one run! And Goose is a spaz and wouldn’t be able to handle it.
So we’ll see! I do need to keep up these next few weeks before Chicago.

And can honestly say that’s one of the greatest series I’ve ever read. I legitimately cried through the last 45 minutes of the book. Pages got lost somewhere between Phoenix and Albuquerque and back to Phoenix and on my couch with a cup of pazookie.
If I didn’t just give the first book to my sister, I’d be reading the series over again.

Seriously, I’m going to spend an entire day next weekend just baking. My goal is to perfect croissants from scratch. And then croissants with chocolate in them.
I would be such a happy baker if I wasn’t working or going to school. And I’d have a bakery with this girl and all kinds of literary inspired treats and beverages. And we’d serve Nescafe and high quality chai on the corner of some city street.
